The Gallup Talons' record is incredibly skewed. The team openned the season by playing New Mexico six straight times. The Talons also beat up on the weak Hawaii Megaforce twice. The team was very competitive with good teams, too, such as Southern California, but did not play enough games to qualify for the postseason. The Talons became the Outlaws for the 2006-2007 season. The team was not nearly as successful, winning just elven games in another shortenned season. The Talons did qualify for the playoffs and played San Diego for the third time in five days, ultimately losing by 27 points.
